Events


*As the final celebration event of our 200th anniversary, a Celebration Potluck Dinner will be held on Reign of Christ Sunday, November 20, 5:30 p.m. in the hall. Bring a friend, invite former members, ask someone to be your guest and bring along your dish to share


*The Guild is planning a bake sale and new-to-you gift table on Saturday, December 3 from 10:00 – 4:00 in the Fire Hall. We hope to call on members of the congregation to bake, etc. More details later.


*Stocking Stuffer Ticket Raffle will be the final initiative of the year to reach our overall goal of raising $2,500.00 for the year of 2022. Previously we held a Spring-sing-along, the Quilt Exhibit and our annual Yard Sale. We just need to raise around $500.00 to meet this objective.

Prizes for the Stocking Stuffer Raffle are:

1. A nights accommodation for 2 at the Queen Anne Inn in 2023 and

2. 10 lbs. of lobster to be delivered or picked on Dec. 23, 2022.

Ticket prices are 1 ticket for $ 2.00, 3 tickets for $5.00, or 10 tickets for $7.00. See Rev. Nita for tickets - we need everyone to be a seller. Draw will be on Dec. 23, at 3 p.m.


Meetings

*There will be a Parish Council meeting this week. We’ll let you know time and place as soon as the details are confirmed.

Worship


*Jesus and Jeans at St. Mark’s Church, Perotte: There will be one more Jesus and Jeans, on Tuesday, November 15 at 6:30. If you enjoy small groups, the feel of a small country church and would enjoy a contemporary worship style this service is for you!


*Let’s Pray – Friday, November 18 at 9 a.m. Come and pray with Rev. Nita, offering prayers for our parish.

Fellowship


*Our Christmas Carol Sing-along is Saturday, December 10 at 4pm!

Come and sing carols, old and new, around the upright piano in the Parish Hall at St. Luke’s. Enjoy a cup of mulled cider. Community


Two community concerts coming up:

*Come!, the Christmas concert of the Middleton Choral Society will be presented in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 45 Main Street, Middleton on Wednesday November 30 at 7:30 pm. The program consists of seasonal selections with solo performances by members of the choir. Admission is by suggested donation of $10.00.


*A Royal Consort’s Christmas concert, Songs for the Season, will be presented in St. George and St. Andrew United Church, 393 George Street, Annapolis Royal on Sunday December 4 at 3:00 pm. The program features seasonal selections with an emphasis on audience participation. Tickets for the concert are $12.00, available from members of the choir or at the door. There will be no charge for children 12 years and under.
